About this role
University of Tennessee at Martin's College of Nursing is seeking someone to serve as the primary support structure for undergraduate nursing students—identifying barriers to success early and intervening with academic tutoring, financial guidance, personal counseling, and professional development. The role combines direct student support with program-level strategy, requiring you to track outcomes, report on retention metrics, and continuously refine how the college helps students progress and graduate.
This position demands a registered nurse with at least two years of relevant experience, ideally in higher education or student services. You'll need to understand both nursing practice standards and how college systems work, paired with genuine skill at building trust with students and connecting them to campus and community resources. The work spans one-on-one case management through policy development and accreditation reporting, so comfort with data, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration is essential.
The role is based in Memphis and requires full-time, in-office presence. It suits someone who wants to shape nursing education and student outcomes rather than direct patient care, and who thrives coordinating multiple priorities across academic, financial, and personal dimensions of student life.
