About this role
Girls on the Run Lehigh Valley & Pocono is building out its presence in the Pocono region and needs someone to lead that effort on the ground. As Program Coordinator, you'd own site recruitment and relationship-building with schools and community organizations across Monroe and Pike Counties, while also recruiting and supporting the volunteer coaches who deliver the organization's youth programming. The role blends community outreach—attending events, raising awareness, and identifying sponsorship opportunities—with hands-on program logistics, including a key role in restoring and running the Monroe County 5K.
This is a part-time position (roughly 20 hours per week at $21/hour) that works primarily remotely from the Allentown office, with travel throughout the Pocono region. You'll need some flexibility for evening and weekend availability to support coach training, community events, and seasonal activities. The work suits someone energized by relationship-building and comfortable juggling multiple priorities: recruitment, volunteer management, event coordination, and partnership development all happen in parallel.
Candidates should live in or near Monroe or Pike County. The position offers observed holidays but no paid time off or health benefits; additional benefits will be discussed at hire.
