About this role

Dallas ISD's MTSS Coordinator role centers on building teacher and administrator capacity to identify and support struggling students through data-driven intervention frameworks. You'll design and deliver professional development across the district on Response to Intervention (RTI) processes, lead data analysis sessions covering everything from universal screening to state assessments, and help schools establish tiered interventions in reading, math, language, and student engagement. The work spans K-12 and involves close collaboration with Special Education, Dual Language, and other departments to ensure coordinated support.

This position demands someone with substantial classroom or leadership experience in diverse settings—five years minimum—who can translate complex assessment data into actionable strategies for teachers and principals. You'll need strong technical skills (PowerSchool, Microsoft Office, Google Apps, progress monitoring tools) and the ability to create training materials, online modules, and instructional resources from scratch. The role also includes campus visits to coach implementation and work with families, requiring both instructional expertise and interpersonal finesse.

The position is grant-funded for 226 days and based in-office at Dallas ISD's Multi-Tiered Systems of Support division. A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree and valid Texas teaching certificate are preferred. This suits someone who has moved beyond the classroom into instructional leadership and wants to scale impact across an entire district through professional development and systems-level support.
