Job Summary

The BIM/VDC Coordinator is responsible for developing, maintaining, and coordinating Building Information Modeling (BIM) models and construction drawings for electrical systems across a variety of construction projects. Reporting to the VDC Manager, this role uses Autodesk Revit and other BIM/VDC technologies to translate construction documents and design requirements into accurate, coordinated, and constructible electrical models that support project planning, installation, and execution.

Working closely with project teams, other MEP trades, design professionals, and field personnel, the BIM/VDC Coordinator helps identify potential design conflicts, resolve spatial coordination issues, and ensure electrical systems are properly integrated with other building systems before installation. This position also develops and revises electrical models and 2D shop drawings in accordance with applicable electrical codes, project specifications, and departmental standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Revit-based electrical modeling and MEP coordination, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage modeling assignments with minimal supervision. Through effective collaboration, technical accuracy, and proactive problem-solving, the BIM/VDC Coordinator helps improve constructability, reduce field rework, and support the safe, efficient, and successful delivery of Loenbro’s construction projects.

  • Prepare electrical model content following electrical code and department standards
  • Collaborate and Coordinate with other disciplines through BIM coordination meeting attendance

Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations.

About this role

Loenbro's Pre-Job Planning team is seeking a BIM/VDC Coordinator to develop and maintain electrical system models that keep complex construction projects on track. You'll use Autodesk Revit to translate design documents into accurate, coordinated models, working across MEP trades and design teams to catch conflicts before they reach the field. The role involves preparing 2D shop drawings, attending coordination meetings, and supporting both planning and installation phases—essentially acting as a bridge between design intent and constructability.

This position requires at least three years of AEC modeling experience and three years working with MEP coordination in Revit, ideally with some electrical BIM background. You'll need strong attention to detail, knowledge of electrical codes and department standards, and the ability to work independently once you understand the project requirements. An associate degree in drafting or design technology is preferred, along with familiarity with the broader Autodesk suite (Navisworks, BIM 360, AutoCAD).

Based in Centennial, Colorado, this is a full-time, in-office role reporting to the VDC Manager, with a salary range of $80,000–$100,000. Loenbro offers standard benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, PTO, and professional development opportunities. The work suits someone who thrives on technical precision, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and solving spatial coordination problems before they become expensive field issues.
