About this role
Major League Baseball's Draft Operations department is hiring a seasonal video coordinator based in Phoenix to support amateur prospect evaluation from January through August. The role centers on field work: attending showcases and events across the West Coast to film high-level amateur players, then handling the administrative pipeline that follows—uploading footage, logging player data into scouting systems, and coordinating travel logistics. You'd also contribute video editing and other operational tasks as needed, all while representing MLB to players, families, coaches, and staff.
The position suits someone with a genuine passion for baseball and prior experience in video work or scouting. You'll need strong organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a working knowledge of video equipment and editing. Prior playing experience at the college or professional level is a plus, as is bilingual capability. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that demands flexibility—you'll work nights, weekends, and holidays, travel frequently within your coverage area, and relocate to Arizona for the season.
The salary is $1,700–$1,850 bi-weekly. Success here depends on being self-directed, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in a competitive scouting environment.
