About this role

Managing the financial side of an oral surgery practice requires both precision and interpersonal skill. At Southwest Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, you'll handle patient billing, insurance verification, and claims processing while serving as a financial guide for patients navigating treatment costs and payment options. The role demands accuracy with dental and medical coding systems (CDT, CPT, ICD-10), familiarity with practice management software like DSN, and the ability to follow claims through to resolution—including denials and appeals. You'll work closely with the clinical team and patients to keep the revenue cycle moving smoothly while maintaining HIPAA compliance and ethical billing standards.

This position suits someone with prior healthcare billing experience, ideally in dental or oral surgery settings. You should be comfortable explaining complex financial information clearly and compassionately, managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and working both independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to stay composed under pressure are essential.

Specialty Dental Brands offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan, paid holidays, and paid time off. The role is full-time and based in Albany, Georgia, in an in-office setting where you'll contribute to a collaborative practice culture focused on exceptional patient care.
