About this role

GRVTY's OSC Hardware Support Specialist role sits at the intersection of technical troubleshooting and program operations for defense systems. Based in Sterling, Virginia, you'd provide tier-level hardware support to Field Service Representatives and military personnel across phone, email, and chat channels while managing the full lifecycle of issues in Jira and Confluence. The work spans hands-on diagnostics and repair, coordination with Systems Engineering on problem resolution, inventory and asset tracking through RMA workflows, and compilation of failure trend analysis. You'd also support pre-deployment activities, system checkouts following installations, and occasional on-site technical work at local facilities.

This contract position demands 10+ years of hardware support or systems engineering experience, an active TS/SCI-eligible security clearance, and CompTIA Security+ certification. A bachelor's degree is required, and DoD program experience is valued. Beyond core troubleshooting skills, the role calls for strong documentation abilities, independent task ownership, and the capacity to work under pressure while collaborating across teams. You'll be on-site full-time in Sterling with occasional warehouse visits and up to 20% travel; telework is not an option.

The $140,000–$175,000 salary reflects the technical depth and clearance requirements, and GRVTY offers standard benefits including health coverage, 401(k) matching, paid leave, and professional development support. This is a fit for someone with substantial hardware support credentials who's comfortable in a structured defense contracting environment and ready to commit to regular on-site presence.
