About this role

GRVTY is hiring an experienced Network Engineer to support Intelligence Community missions at their Fort Meade facility. You'll own the full lifecycle of network infrastructure—designing and implementing scalable solutions, managing hardware and software across Cisco and Juniper platforms, hardening security posture through firewall rules and access controls, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. The role also includes monitoring network health, maintaining documentation and procedures, and staying ahead of visibility and alerting needs.

This is a contract position requiring significant depth: at least 12 years in related technical work (or 16 without a degree) plus a minimum of 3 years specifically as a Network Engineer within the last three years. You'll need CCNA or CCNP certification, Security+ clearance, and an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. Linux proficiency is mandatory; hands-on experience with Juniper and Palo Alto firewalls, Dell or HPE servers, and tools like Ansible, Nutanix, or NetBox will strengthen your candidacy.

The salary range is $175,000–$205,000, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA contributions, 401(k) matching, paid parental leave, and professional development opportunities. This is an in-office role in Maryland, suited for someone with deep clearance history and a track record managing complex network environments in high-stakes settings.
