About this role
CityVet is hiring a Market Operations Leader to oversee operational performance and manager development across multiple veterinary clinics in the South Atlantic region. Based remotely but requiring frequent travel to clinic locations, you'd work as the primary operational partner to Practice Managers, coaching them on hiring, staffing, compliance, and execution of company initiatives while supporting the Lead Veterinary Partners' leadership authority. The role balances hands-on problem-solving—monitoring P&Ls, driving KPI performance, managing labor and scheduling—with strategic people development through regular one-on-ones, field support, and market-level meetings.
This position suits someone with at least five years of veterinary operations or multi-site management experience who excels at influencing without direct authority. You'll need strong coaching and conflict resolution skills, solid financial literacy, and familiarity with practice management systems and scheduling tools. The role demands someone highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable with both compliance oversight (OSHA, DEA, inventory standards) and the softer work of building manager capability and sharing best practices across clinics.
CityVet offers a full benefits package including 401(k) matching, comprehensive health coverage, paid parental leave, flexible schedules, and mental health support through an Employee Assistance Program, along with a personal pet-care discount for employees.
