About this role

VitalCaring Group is seeking a Software Support Specialist to provide frontline technical support for their home health EMR and other business applications used across their 100+ locations. Based remotely from Dallas, you'll handle incoming support tickets, troubleshoot software issues, and guide end users through problems via phone, email, and web collaboration. The role requires you to stay current with software updates, test functionality before and after system changes, manage user access and permissions, and escalate complex issues appropriately while documenting your findings for vendors and internal teams.

This position suits someone with a foundation in IT support or home health operations who thrives in a customer-service-oriented environment. You'll need strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users, patience to work through problems methodically, and the ability to balance multiple support requests. The job also involves designing training materials, leading orientation sessions, and identifying opportunities to improve how users interact with the software—so there's room to grow beyond reactive support into more proactive education and system optimization.

VitalCaring emphasizes career development, mentorship, and a supportive team culture. You'll be on-call as directed and may be asked to take on additional responsibilities, but the company positions itself as mission-driven, with competitive compensation and benefits designed to support your wellbeing both at work and beyond.
