About this role
LumiMeds, a telehealth startup focused on weight management and metabolic health, is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to take on a part-time operational role that bridges clinical providers and internal teams. Rather than direct patient care, you'd spend your time monitoring the daily performance of their remote provider network—tracking workloads across DOs and NPs, flagging communication delays, and ensuring patients receive timely clinical responses. This is fundamentally about keeping the clinical operation running smoothly and preventing bottlenecks that could harm the patient experience.
The work centers on three interconnected areas: watching provider workloads and task queues in real time, monitoring patient message backlogs and escalating urgent concerns, and identifying workflow problems that slow things down. You'd also track key metrics like response times and pending tasks, then report findings and recommendations to leadership. The role demands strong organizational skills, comfort with EMR and telehealth platforms, and the ability to work independently and proactively in a remote environment. Your NP background is essential—it gives you the clinical credibility to understand provider workflows and patient needs, though this position itself focuses on operations rather than clinical decision-making.
This suits someone with telehealth experience who enjoys operational problem-solving and has the initiative to spot issues before they escalate. The part-time structure and remote setup offer flexibility, and you'd be working at an early-stage company where decisions move fast and individual ownership matters. Familiarity with HIPAA, experience coordinating distributed teams, or background in subscription-based telehealth would be valuable additions.
