About this role

Ascension's Clinical Research Coordinator role in Austin involves managing the day-to-day operations of research projects across multiple stakeholders. You'll work directly with principal investigators, sponsors, and research teams to execute study protocols, track project progress, and handle the logistical details that keep clinical trials running smoothly. A significant portion of your work centers on participant management—recruiting and scheduling subjects, monitoring their safety, and addressing any adverse events or compliance issues that arise.

The regulatory and administrative side of the role is equally important. You'll prepare and maintain the documentation, databases, and training materials required for Institutional Review Board compliance, coordinate IRB activities, and support audit preparation. You'll also create departmental communications and educational materials as needed. The position requires at least a high school diploma plus two years of relevant experience, an associate degree, or four years of directly applicable work experience. While not required, a PRIM&R Research Professional certification is preferred.

This is a full-time, in-office position within Ascension, a large nonprofit Catholic health system. The role suits someone organized and detail-oriented who can manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively across different departments, and navigate regulatory requirements with care.
