About this role

Crowell & Moring's Legal Talent Acquisition Coordinator role manages the full recruitment lifecycle for non-partner legal hires—judicial clerks, lateral associates, counsel, and professional track attorneys—alongside support for law student hiring and summer programs. You'll own candidate processing and database management, coordinate interviews from logistics through evaluation collection, prepare offer materials, and handle onboarding from pre-arrival through I-9 verification. The position also involves recruiting outreach events, demographic reporting, and cross-departmental collaboration with HR, Finance, D&I, and practice groups.

Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle competing priorities while maintaining professionalism under pressure—particularly during busy recruitment cycles when extended hours and evening events are expected. You'll need at least two years of directly related recruiting experience in a law firm or professional services setting, advanced MS Office proficiency, and solid written and oral communication skills. Experience with applicant tracking systems is preferred. A bachelor's degree is required, though equivalent training and experience may substitute.

This is an in-office position in Chicago with a salary range of $61,000 to $90,000, plus discretionary bonus eligibility. The role suits someone who thrives on coordination and relationship-building across multiple stakeholder groups and wants to play a central part in shaping a major international firm's legal talent pipeline.
