We are currently hiring part-time Special Needs Caregiver / Direct Support Professionals /DSPs in the following areas:
- Elkin, NC
- Jonesville, NC
What You'll Do as a Special Needs Caregiver:
- Help individuals participate in community activities and social events
- Provide encouragement, mentorship, and meaningful companionship
- Support personal care needs, including dressing and grooming
- Transport clients to appointments, errands, and community outings
- Empower individuals to reach their goals and live as independently as possible
Pay & Schedule
$16.00/hr.

What We're Looking For in a Special Needs Caregiver:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- One year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred
- Reliable transportation and ability to drive clients to community activities

About this role
BAYADA Home Health Care is hiring part-time Direct Support Professionals in Elkin, NC to provide one-on-one care and mentorship to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this role, you'll support clients with personal care needs, accompany them to community activities and appointments, and help them build independence and confidence in their daily lives. The work centers on meaningful connection—encouraging clients toward their goals, providing companionship, and being present for the moments that matter.
The position offers flexible part-time scheduling with weekly pay at $16/hour, plus access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, a 401(k) match, and paid holidays. You'll have 24/7 clinical support from a team environment and opportunities for career growth through training programs and scholarships. While one year of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred, BAYADA offers an apprentice training program for candidates without prior experience.
