About this role
SpaceX is seeking a Network Security Engineer to build and maintain security infrastructure across its corporate and enterprise networks in Memphis. This is a hands-on operational role focused on deploying firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems; configuring access controls; and performing ongoing maintenance and threat assessment on production systems. You'll work directly with security tools and infrastructure rather than in a purely advisory capacity, while also partnering with other teams to develop secure network architectures and communicate security policies.
The position requires either a STEM bachelor's degree plus three years of network security experience, or five years of experience without the degree. You'll need at least one year securing networks and IT infrastructure, plus one year hardening operating systems across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments. Experience with Palo Alto or Juniper firewalls, VPN technologies, network monitoring, SIEMs, and Python automation is preferred. This role is onsite only in Memphis with no remote or hybrid flexibility, and requires willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed. U.S. citizenship or equivalent ITAR authorization is mandatory.
