About this role

Family of Kidz is seeking a Service Coordinator to manage administrative and operational tasks supporting their special education services in Wallingford. The role centers on student data management—inputting and updating demographic information, processing referrals for clinic-based services, creating enrollments, and maintaining accurate records within their student system. You'll also handle documentation filing, claims cleanup projects, and scheduling coordination between families, schools, and therapists.

This position suits someone with 3–5 years of office experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and has strong organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, and familiarity with claims processing or prior experience in agency or school settings is valued. Beyond technical competency, the role requires genuine care for children and families, excellent communication, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while managing competing priorities.

The full-time hybrid position (Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm) offers competitive benefits including 25–28 days of paid time off, 12 holidays with an extended winter break, medical/dental/vision coverage, 401(k), and professional development support. Compensation ranges from $20–$24 per hour based on experience and relevant certifications; note that the position may also be structured as fee-for-service depending on current caseload, a detail to clarify during your interview.
