About this role

ATKG, a 40-year-old tax and accounting firm in San Antonio, is seeking a CAAS Operations Coordinator to serve as the operational backbone of their Client Accounting and Advisory Services department. You'd manage the full lifecycle of client engagements—from onboarding and document coordination through billing and reporting—while keeping workflows organized across multiple practice management and CRM systems. This role sits at the intersection of client service, team support, and firm leadership, requiring you to track deadlines, monitor workload capacity, and flag issues before they become problems.

The day-to-day involves coordinating client onboarding and system access, preparing weekly billings and performance metrics for managers, maintaining operational documentation, and supporting everything from 1099 processing to team scheduling and training. You'll need strong organizational and communication skills, comfort learning accounting software platforms, and the ability to juggle competing priorities without losing sight of detail. Experience in accounting administration, public accounting, or client services is expected; familiarity with QuickBooks Online, BILL, Gusto, or similar tools is a plus.

ATKG values innovation, collaboration, and community involvement—they've recently joined the Ascend platform to fuel growth and were named a 2026 Best Place to Work. The position offers standard benefits, PTO, 401k matching, and opportunities for professional development, with work based in their San Antonio office.
