About this role
WellPower's Mental Health Center of Denver is seeking someone to build and maintain the infrastructure that connects academic institutions with clinical training opportunities across their behavioral health programs. The Clinical Placement & Academic Partnership Coordinator serves as the central hub between schools, trainees, clinical supervisors, and internal departments—managing affiliation agreements, matching students and residents to placements, tracking compliance documentation, and ensuring every trainee meets regulatory and organizational requirements before starting.
The work spans three interconnected areas: coordinating placements by communicating with academic partners, assessing organizational capacity, and guiding trainees through onboarding; administering affiliation agreements and keeping them current; and handling credentialing and compliance by collecting and verifying documentation like licenses, background checks, insurance, and certifications. You'll also maintain databases, produce reports on placement metrics, and identify ways to streamline the process. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, comfort with confidential information, and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously.
You'll need at least two years in healthcare administration, credentialing, compliance, clinical education coordination, or workforce development. An associate's degree in a related field and prior experience coordinating student placements or academic partnerships are preferred. The position is full-time and in-office in Denver, with a salary range of $57,803 to $80,995 based on experience.
