About this role

Supporting UT Health Sciences' technology infrastructure across multiple locations and user types, this role combines frontline and intermediate technical support with hands-on device management. You'll handle incoming support requests via phone, email, and in-person visits from students, faculty, and staff, using remote access tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues on machines ranging from campus workstations to personal devices used internationally. Beyond reactive support, you'll configure new equipment, manage print kiosk maintenance across campus, run malware remediation for the cybersecurity team, and evaluate new software and hardware before rollout.

The position requires an associate degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus at least one year of hands-on IT support work. You'll need solid knowledge of Windows and macOS environments, Microsoft Office, and the ability to communicate technical solutions clearly to non-technical users. Success here depends on strong organizational skills to manage a ticket queue, document problems accurately, and escalate appropriately to third-tier support when needed.

This is a full-time remote role based in Memphis, making it accessible regardless of where you're located. It's well-suited to someone early in an IT support career who wants exposure to diverse technical tasks—from user support to hardware testing to security-focused remediation work—within a healthcare education environment.
