About this role
Dogs Trust's Fostering Coordinator role sits at the heart of their rehoming operation, bridging kennelled dogs with volunteer carers who can provide temporary or longer-term foster placements. You'd be responsible for the full lifecycle of the fostering scheme: identifying which dogs would benefit from foster care, recruiting and training volunteer carers, matching dogs to suitable homes, and providing ongoing support to foster families through check-ins, veterinary coordination, and access to behaviour advice. You'd also promote dogs in foster care to potential adopters, handle adoption matching, and complete related paperwork.
This is a role for someone with genuine passion for dog welfare and proven experience working with volunteers. You'll need solid dog handling knowledge, strong organisational skills to manage multiple placements and carers simultaneously, and the communication ability to support volunteers through what can be an emotionally rewarding but sometimes challenging responsibility. Customer service skills matter too—you'd be representing Dogs Trust to adopters and the public. The position is based at the Evesham Rehoming Centre on a full-time, in-office basis, and interviews are scheduled for 4 November 2026.
