About this role

Element Critical's Operations Facilities Coordinator role is the administrative and technical backbone of their Austin data center, with responsibility for keeping mission-critical infrastructure running smoothly and safely. You'll own the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) as its primary administrator, manage the complete library of operational procedures and documentation, and serve as the central point of coordination between facility operations, engineering, and compliance teams. The work spans preventative and corrective maintenance tracking, audit preparation, policy development, and incident management across critical systems like generators, UPS, chillers, and fire suppression.

This position suits someone with 2–3 years of hands-on data center or critical facility operations experience who is comfortable with both technical systems and documentation rigor. You'll need strong analytical skills to generate reports and dashboards from CMMS data, the ability to influence teams across multiple sites, and familiarity with regulatory standards like NFPA and OSHA. A bachelor's degree in engineering or facility management is expected, though equivalent experience qualifies.

The role offers hybrid flexibility in Austin with some travel to other sites, and it's positioned within a well-funded company actively expanding through acquisitions. This is an early-stage opportunity to establish operational standards and compliance frameworks as the organization scales nationally.
