About this role

ARCO, a design-build construction firm, is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join their Cincinnati office on a volunteer basis. You'll handle the full spectrum of frontline technology support—from hardware deployments and repairs across Windows, Apple, and mobile platforms to application setup, Office 365 administration, and basic network troubleshooting. The role bridges end-users and internal IT teams, requiring you to diagnose issues quickly, coordinate with external vendors when needed, and support company-wide initiatives like the Procore implementation.

This position suits someone with a bachelor's degree and two to four years of related IT support experience who combines technical competence with genuine customer service instincts. You'll need strong communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a self-directed approach to problem-solving. ARCO emphasizes integrity and high standards, and they're looking for someone who can bring both entrepreneurial thinking and disciplined execution to the role.

The company offers substantial benefits including an employee stock ownership plan, tuition reimbursement, paid sabbaticals after five years, and comprehensive health coverage—though this is a volunteer position, so compensation structure may differ from typical employment arrangements. ARCO is a privately-held firm with over 30 years in the industry and significant national recognition in design-build construction.
