About this role

Spot Inc., a logistics marketplace company based in Indianapolis, is looking for an IT Support intern to join their team in a hands-on, in-office role. You'd work alongside IT Support staff to handle first-line technology assistance for employees—responding to help desk requests via email, phone, and in-person, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and setting up or decommissioning Windows and Mac devices along with peripherals. Beyond reactive support, you'd contribute to documentation, maintain asset inventory, manage user account lifecycles, and assist with infrastructure projects as needed.

This internship suits someone currently pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in IT, cybersecurity, or a related field who has foundational knowledge of operating systems, computer hardware, and software. You'll need solid problem-solving skills, the ability to read and understand technical documentation, and genuine customer service instincts—since you'll be supporting staff members directly. The role demands both independence and collaboration, plus comfort working in a mixed environment: some days you'll be on your feet moving equipment (up to 40 pounds), other days at a desk handling tickets and documentation.

Spot describes itself as relationship-driven and entrepreneurial, with a 24/7 support culture. The internship is based between two downtown Indianapolis locations and offers exposure to multiple facets of IT operations—a realistic preview of help desk work in a professional, fast-paced setting.
