About this role
Working the 3rd shift on Forge Biologics' manufacturing floor means you'll be part of the hands-on production of AAV gene therapies at a critical stage: preparing the buffers and media that these treatments depend on. This entry-level role in their 200,000-square-foot cGMP facility in Columbus puts you directly in support of life-changing therapies, with responsibilities that span media and buffer formulation, documentation and logbook review, equipment setup, and inventory management—all under strict regulatory and cleanroom protocols.
You'll need a high school diploma and experience following standard operating procedures, along with basic computer skills and comfort working in PPE within a loud, confined cleanroom environment. Prior exposure to regulated manufacturing, laboratory work, equipment cleaning, or media preparation is valued but not required; the role is designed as an entry point to build foundational GMP experience. The position demands precision with detail work, the ability to stand for extended periods, and flexibility to work a 3rd shift schedule of four 10-hour days (Sunday night through Thursday morning), with occasional overtime.
This is a full-time, in-office role where you'd collaborate across GMP Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Product Development teams. Forge emphasizes mentorship and skill development as part of their culture, so if you're looking to launch a career in biomanufacturing with hands-on learning and clear growth potential, this position offers that foundation.
