About this role

Sonic is expanding its Dallas operations and seeking a Construction Coordinator to oversee field construction projects for new builds and rebuilds across the region. This role sits at the intersection of hands-on site work and project management—you'll read blueprints, conduct quality inspections, supervise both in-house crews and subcontractors, and manage relationships between contractors, engineers, city officials, and internal teams. The position demands someone who can problem-solve on the fly, catch constructability issues before they become expensive mistakes, and keep detailed daily and weekly schedules while handling permitting, inspections, and damage claims.

You'll need at least three years of telecommunications technical experience, solid knowledge of the National Electrical Code and GO 95, and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines under pressure. Strong organizational skills, basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Sheets), and the capacity to supervise and motivate others are essential. The job is field-based with daily travel to job sites around Dallas in all weather conditions, requiring a valid Texas driver's license and clean DMV record. Sonic provides a company vehicle and gas card.

This is a full-time hourly position (40+ hours per week, typically 6am–3pm Monday through Friday) with overtime expected. The salary range is $27–$29 per hour, with performance-based incentives, full benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and profit sharing, paid training, and company-paid pregnancy and bonding leave. It's a good fit if you have telecom construction experience, thrive coordinating multiple moving pieces, and don't mind working outdoors in variable conditions.
