About this role

Elwood Technologies, an FCA-regulated fintech firm, is looking for a part-time IT Support Technician to work two days per week from their Kings Cross office. The role sits at the intersection of user administration, device management, and infrastructure support—you'd be responsible for everything from onboarding new hires and offboarding leavers to managing the company's endpoint security, Google Workspace, and hardware inventory. This is ideal for someone who enjoys building repeatable processes and maintaining order across a cloud-first, security-conscious environment.

The position requires 2–3 years of hands-on IT support experience, with particular depth in Google Workspace, MDM tools (macOS and Windows), and basic scripting (Shell or Python) to automate routine tasks. You'll need practical knowledge of office networking, endpoint security tools like Netskope, and the ability to troubleshoot access and licensing issues quickly. Strong organizational skills and clear communication matter as much as technical chops, since you'll be coordinating hardware logistics and working within formal approval processes.

The fractional arrangement pays £20,000–£24,000 annually for two days per week (equivalent to £50,000–£60,000 FTE), with the possibility to extend to three days. Elwood offers competitive benefits including fully paid medical cover, generous time off, onsite gym access, and paid study leave—perks typical of a well-funded Series A fintech with offices in London, New York, and Singapore.
