About this role
The Lead Cancer Conference Coordinator role at UT Memphis Cancer Center manages the operational backbone of ten active multidisciplinary tumor board conferences, some of which meet weekly or multiple times monthly. You'll be responsible for compiling and organizing critical patient information—pathology reports, radiology images, physician notes, and test results—before each meeting, then attending and documenting the treatment decisions made by the assembled medical teams. This requires precision, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work across multiple medical disciplines and departments simultaneously.
Beyond the conferences themselves, the role extends to CME compliance and documentation. You'll prepare CME applications and end-of-year reports for submission to the CME office, maintain listserv accounts for each conference, and ensure all required materials are current and accessible. The position demands someone comfortable with independent planning, proficient in Microsoft Office applications and audiovisual equipment, and able to communicate clearly with physicians, clinical staff, and administrative personnel at various organizational levels.
You'll need at least four years of office administration experience, a bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and background. The schedule is primarily in-office with occasional evening work required. This is a detail-oriented role best suited to someone who thrives coordinating complex logistics across multiple stakeholders and can manage competing priorities without direct supervision.
