About this role
Inspire Medical Systems is seeking a Sleep Support Specialist to support patients and healthcare providers using their FDA-approved Upper Airway Stimulation device for obstructive sleep apnea. You'd work hybrid from the Orlando/Jacksonville area, splitting time between on-site sleep studies (including overnight shifts), remote troubleshooting, and customer training at clinical and commercial sites. The role demands deep expertise in sleep medicine—you'll need either one year as a certified sleep technologist with formal credentials (RPSGT, RST, or clinical sleep educator certification) or five years of broader sleep medicine experience, plus demonstrated knowledge of polysomnography software, EMR systems, and OSA therapy management.
This position involves significant travel (up to 75%) and schedule flexibility around sleep studies and customer needs. You'll train new sites on the Inspire Programmer System and titration protocols, provide direct and remote support during studies, field questions from both patients and providers on a rotating on-call basis, and contribute to improving training materials and therapy algorithms. The work suits someone comfortable troubleshooting technical issues, building customer relationships, and adapting to variable weekly schedules.
The salary range is $85,000–$90,000, with benefits including health insurance options, 401k matching, flexible time off, and tuition reimbursement. An associate degree and deeper certifications in sleep medicine are preferred but not required if you meet the core experience threshold.
