About this role

Teracore, a service-disabled veteran-owned consulting firm, is seeking someone to manage travel authorizations and expense processing for the Department of Homeland Security's Science and Technology Directorate. The role is entirely on-site in Washington, DC and requires US citizenship for security clearance eligibility.

You would handle the full lifecycle of employee travel: authorizing trips, reviewing and processing vouchers, verifying expenses against federal travel regulations, calculating reimbursements for lodging, meals, transportation, and incidentals, and ensuring compliance throughout. The work also includes educating staff on travel policies to prevent errors and documentation issues. Success requires hands-on experience with GSA Electronic Travel Services 2 (ETS2) and related expense systems, plus solid knowledge of Federal Travel Regulations.

This is a full-time, on-site position best suited to someone with at least three years in government financial operations. A bachelor's degree is preferred, though a high school diploma meets the minimum requirement. If you have the technical systems experience and regulatory knowledge this demands, and you're comfortable with detail-oriented compliance work in a federal environment, this could be a stable role with an employer committed to long-term employment.
