About this role
citizenM's F&B team is seeking an intern to support their global food and beverage operations across their hotel portfolio. Based in their Leiden office, you'd work three days per week on a hybrid arrangement, contributing to everything from ePOS system management and performance analytics to on-site hotel visits where you'll help implement F&B projects and train teams. The role blends operational support—quality audits, dashboard analysis, training coordination—with creative input on improving F&B offerings and sustainability initiatives.
This internship suits someone currently enrolled at university who can commit for at least five months starting January or February 2027. You'll need strong English communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and genuine curiosity about hospitality operations. The ideal candidate is ambitious and eager to learn across multiple areas: you might analyze performance data one day, help design a new menu concept the next, then travel to a hotel to support staff training. Comfort with feedback and a real interest in guest satisfaction matter as much as technical ability.
The package includes commuting costs covered, hotel discounts, access to professional development, and a social, modern workplace culture. This is a structured learning opportunity within a large international hospitality group, not a back-office admin role—you'll see real hotel operations and contribute meaningfully to strategic F&B decisions.
