About this role
Ascension's cardiac transplant program in Nashville is seeking a Registered Nurse Coordinator to manage the full patient journey—from pre-transplant evaluation through post-implant follow-up—for both traditional transplant and mechanical circulatory support candidates. You'll bridge clinical care and program operations, handling patient and family education, data collection, quality reporting aligned with UNOS and CMS standards, and the administrative functions that keep a specialized transplant service running smoothly.
This role demands a current RN license from Tennessee and BLS certification (obtainable within your first month). While a nursing diploma or degree is the baseline requirement, CVICU experience is strongly preferred and would be particularly valuable given the cardiac focus. You'll work full-time on-site in Nashville within a large nonprofit Catholic health system known for supporting its workforce and emphasizing mission-driven care.
If you're an experienced cardiac nurse interested in moving into a coordinator role that combines direct patient advocacy with program management, and you're ready to engage with the regulatory and quality frameworks that govern transplant services, this position offers a defined pathway into specialized transplant nursing.
