About this role
Ascension's kidney transplant coordinator role in Nashville combines clinical nursing with program management across the full patient journey—from pre-transplant evaluation through post-operative follow-up and mechanical circulatory support care. You'll work directly with patients and families to provide education, manage wait lists, and ensure smooth transitions between care phases while documenting outcomes and maintaining compliance with UNOS and CMS quality standards.
This position requires a registered nurse license from Tennessee and BLS certification (obtainable within your first month). The role sits at the intersection of direct patient care and administrative operations, so you'll need comfort moving between bedside coordination, data collection, and reporting responsibilities. It's a full-time, in-office position suited to an RN who wants to specialize in transplant services and take on broader program accountability beyond traditional nursing duties.
