About this role
Eos IT Solutions is expanding its Dublin operations and inviting applications to register interest in Network Field Technician roles within their global data centre team. This position involves hands-on deployment of networking infrastructure—installing hardware, terminating and testing copper and fibre cabling, racking equipment, and conducting site surveys—for major international clients across the UK, Ireland, and Europe. You'd work closely with network engineers and project managers to ensure installations meet industry standards and customer requirements, with responsibilities ranging from pre- and post-deployment wifi surveys to creating detailed site readiness reports.
The role demands 2+ years of direct experience in network deployments or data centre environments, with practical knowledge of routers, switches, wireless systems, and cabling from major manufacturers. You'll need to read technical diagrams and rack layouts confidently, diagnose problems methodically, and communicate findings clearly across multiple channels. A CCNA, JNCIA, or CompTIA certification is preferred. The position is full-time and based in Dublin, though it carries a significant travel commitment—approximately 90% of your time will be spent on customer sites globally.
This is demanding field work requiring physical capability (lifting up to 50 pounds), flexibility to work outside standard hours, and the ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced environments. It suits someone with solid technical grounding in network infrastructure who's ready to build deeper expertise while working directly with enterprise-scale deployments.
