About this role

Safety Worxs is filling a Project Safety Coordinator role on a heavy civil parking garage project in Houston. You'll own all construction safety operations from start to finish, managing hazard identification, field inspections, incident investigations, and training across fall protection, scaffolding, excavation, confined space, crane operations, electrical safety, and more. The position requires close coordination with the Owner's Design Representative and project leadership, oversight of subcontractor compliance, and emergency response planning. You'll stay embedded on the project through substantial completion.

This role demands serious credentials: either 7+ years of building construction safety experience, or a 4-year safety degree plus 3+ years of hands-on field work. You must hold OSHA 500 (Construction Industry Trainer) or OSHA 502 (Trainer Update)—OSHA 10, 30, or 510 certifications do not qualify. You'll also need current First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications, plus documented continuing education in the core safety disciplines from the past five years.
