About this role

At the University of Tennessee at Martin's Memphis location, this full-time research coordinator role centers on managing the operational and analytical backbone of a large preventive medicine evaluation program. You would own the day-to-day execution of complex research initiatives focused on youth engagement, violence reduction, and victim support—designing data collection tools, leading qualitative work, analyzing both quantitative and qualitative findings, and translating results into actionable recommendations for program improvement. The role requires you to work independently while also supervising evaluation staff and training community partners, and you'll regularly present progress updates to keep stakeholders aligned.

The position calls for a bachelor's degree and at least two years of direct program evaluation experience involving data collection, analysis, and reporting. You'll need solid grounding in evaluation frameworks like logic models and theories of change, proficiency with both quantitative and qualitative analysis methods, and the ability to design surveys and tracking systems from the ground up. Strong communication skills are essential—you must convey complex findings clearly to diverse audiences and engage community partners with cultural humility. A valid driver's license is required, and occasional evening or weekend work may be needed.

This role suits someone who thrives in structured research environments, enjoys managing multiple moving parts of a program simultaneously, and wants hands-on experience across the full evaluation lifecycle. It's a good fit if you're comfortable with both the technical side of data work and the interpersonal demands of leading a team and supporting community partners.
