About this role

# About This Role

Inspire Medical Systems is seeking a Sleep Support Specialist to support patients and clinical sites using their FDA-approved Upper Airway Stimulation device for obstructive sleep apnea. You'll work in a hybrid arrangement based in Kansas City, combining on-site clinical support with remote assistance. The role bridges clinical expertise and customer service, requiring you to train new sites on the Inspire system and programmer, conduct and troubleshoot overnight titration sleep studies, and field support calls from healthcare professionals and patients. You'll also contribute to research and development by identifying ways to improve training materials and the titration algorithm.

The position demands strong foundational knowledge in sleep medicine. You'll need either one year of sleep lab experience as a technologist with relevant certifications (RPSGT, RST, or clinical sleep educator) plus demonstrated ability to score and interpret sleep studies, or five years in sleep medicine with substantial clinic or DME company background. You should be comfortable with polysomnography software, EMR systems, and troubleshooting technical issues under pressure. The schedule is variable and includes overnight shifts and travel up to 50 percent, with on-call coverage responsibilities.

This role suits someone with clinical sleep credentials who wants hands-on involvement in a newer treatment area and doesn't mind a non-traditional schedule. The salary range is $85,000–$90,000, and Inspire provides standard benefits including 401k matching, flexible time off, and tuition reimbursement.
