About this role

This Support Engineer role at New Era Technology is a hybrid position based in Perth, Scotland, split between three days onsite at a client location and two days at the company office. You'll provide hands-on technical support across hardware, software, and network issues, handling everything from troubleshooting end-user problems to installing and configuring PCs, servers, and infrastructure. The work involves meeting SLAs, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with the Service Delivery team to keep the client's IT environment running smoothly.

The role suits someone with one to two years of onsite IT support experience who combines strong technical skills with excellent communication abilities. You'll need practical knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools, device management through Intune, basic networking, and Windows operating systems. Microsoft Teams Room support and Windows Autopilot experience are valued but not essential. Equally important is your ability to work autonomously, manage your time well, and build good relationships with end users—this is a customer-facing position where professionalism and approachability matter as much as technical competence.

New Era emphasizes professional development, offering training opportunities, access to industry-certified experts, and internal career progression for strong performers. The package includes team support, cost-price supplier discounts, provided lunches and snacks, an Employer Assistance Program, and bonuses for upskilling. Priority consideration goes to Australian citizens or permanent residents available to start immediately.
