About this role
Gruve is looking for a Junior Network Engineer to join its infrastructure team on a fully remote basis. In this role, you'll be responsible for keeping the company's network and systems running smoothly—diagnosing and troubleshooting wireless devices, monitoring infrastructure health through tools like Nagios, and managing core services including Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS. You'll also handle ticket resolution within SLAs, document technical configurations, and contribute to policy implementation across internal and external systems.
The position suits someone with a BE/B.Tech, MCA, or Master's degree and up to two years of relevant networking experience, or a recent graduate willing to learn on the job. You should have solid grounding in routing, switching, LAN/WAN, VLANs, and security fundamentals, plus familiarity with platforms like ServiceNow, Jira, and Slack. Certifications such as CCNA are valued but not required. Wireless networking and 4G/5G knowledge are bonuses.
Be aware that this role requires commitment to 24/7 rotational shifts, including nights and weekends. Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate across teams are essential, as you'll be escalating issues, leading technical discussions, and working with multiple stakeholders to resolve problems quickly.
