About this role
Airbnb's Executive Support team within AirSupport provides dedicated technology services to the company's senior leaders and their business partners across office, remote, travel, and event environments. As a Senior Executive IT Support Engineer, you would be among the most senior individual contributors on the team, serving as a trusted technical partner to executives while owning complex, time-critical technology issues end-to-end. The role combines hands-on troubleshooting across endpoints, mobile devices, identity and access, connectivity, collaboration tools, and conferencing systems with strategic influence—you would identify patterns in support issues, develop recommendations for broader improvements, and represent the executive technology perspective in major company technology decisions.
Beyond resolving individual issues, you would shape the technical direction of Executive Support itself, mentor other engineers, and help raise standards across the IT Support Engineering craft. You would anticipate technology risks before they disrupt high-visibility moments like board meetings, leadership events, and product launches, and coordinate complex lifecycle needs like executive onboarding and offboarding. This requires strong judgment, proactive planning, and the ability to lead cross-functional work across teams you don't directly manage while maintaining the discretion and communication clarity that executive-level support demands.
The role requires 8+ years in enterprise IT support or workplace technology, with deep hands-on expertise in at least one relevant domain and broad knowledge across endpoints, mobile device management, identity systems, collaboration platforms, and networking. You should have a track record of taking ambiguous problems through to implementation with limited direction, translating support patterns into scalable improvements, and building credibility with senior technical and business leaders. The position is full-time and remote, based in San Francisco, with a salary range of $132,000 to $155,000, and includes participation in after-hours coverage and occasional onsite or travel support.
