About this role

ACT1 Federal, a 100% employee-owned defense contractor with nearly three decades of DoD experience, is hiring a Visual Support Services professional to support the Ted Stevens Center for Arctic Security Studies at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage. You'd be the primary graphic designer for the Center, developing and maintaining its visual branding across print and digital channels while collaborating closely with communications and public affairs staff. The work spans branding books and templates, marketing collateral, website visual elements, basic video editing, and multimedia integration—essentially owning the Center's visual identity and supporting its mission communications.

This role requires an active Secret security clearance, a bachelor's degree in a visual communications or graphic design field, and at least three years of hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere). You'll work primarily on-site in Anchorage with occasional telework flexibility. Experience with U.S. Government systems, web design, or DoD web policies is valued but not required.

The position offers a competitive salary of $115,000–$120,000 and a robust benefits package including medical/dental/vision coverage, an employee stock ownership plan, 401(k) matching, paid time off, parental leave, and professional development support. This is a full-time role suited to a designer comfortable working within a government environment and collaborating across multiple stakeholder teams.
