About this role

Industrial Electric Manufacturing's San Antonio office is looking for someone to serve as the hub of their workplace—managing reception, coordinating office operations, and supporting employee engagement initiatives. You'd be the first point of contact for visitors and employees, handling everything from greeting and badge issuance to mail distribution and vendor coordination. Beyond the front desk, you'd oversee supply management, help organize company events, and contribute to workplace projects as they arise, operating with flexibility in a role that genuinely requires a "whatever it takes" mindset.

The position calls for at least three years of receptionist or administrative experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and visitor management systems. You'll need to be comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment, handling basic cash, and occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds or working extended hours for events. This is a fully on-site role in San Antonio with no regular travel, though you may attend occasional company site visits or training.

If you thrive on variety, enjoy creating positive first impressions, and want to be genuinely embedded in a company's day-to-day operations rather than siloed in a single function, this could be a strong fit. IEM is a 75-year-old industrial manufacturer with a stated emphasis on growth and employee development, and they're explicit that this role requires adaptability and a collaborative spirit.
