About this role

AlixPartners' Business Intelligence Center is looking for a researcher to support its Aerospace and Defense and Aviation practice. You'd spend your time conducting market and competitor intelligence, analyzing industry trends, and synthesizing research into insights that help the consulting teams win business and serve clients. The work spans commercial aerospace and defense manufacturers, airlines, supply chains, and investment opportunities in the sector—so you'd need to develop real expertise in these areas quickly.

The role calls for strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and comfort with Excel, PowerPoint, and research databases. Experience with AI tools, data visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI, or Bloomberg terminals would set you apart. You'll report to the Business Intelligence Center leadership while working closely with senior practice leaders, collaborating across a global team in a hybrid setup (in-office Tuesday through Thursday in one of four U.S. locations). The position suits someone with at least a year of relevant experience in research, analytics, strategy, or consulting—or a recent graduate with a finance-focused degree and demonstrated analytical ability.
