About this role
Connections Health Solutions is looking for someone with lived recovery experience to work directly with people in behavioral health crisis. As a RISE Recovery Support Specialist, you'd provide peer support both in the community and alongside law enforcement through a co-response model, drawing on your own recovery journey to help others see that stable recovery is possible. The role involves crisis response, follow-up visits with individuals post-overdose, re-engagement with people who've stepped away from care, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team—all grounded in trauma-informed, person-centered approaches.
You'll need Arizona Peer Support Specialist certification and at least one year of documented personal recovery experience. A valid driver's license, your own vehicle, and a clean driving record are required, as you'll be co-locating at law enforcement stations and conducting field visits. You must also pass an Arizona Level I Fingerprint Clearance and be fully vaccinated. Prior experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment is preferred but not required.
The position runs Monday through Friday, 12 p.m. to 9 p.m., in Tucson. Shift differentials add $2–$3 per hour depending on the day and time. This is in-office, full-time work with a physician-led organization that's recognized nationally for its crisis care model.
