About this role
At the Aviation Institute of Maintenance's Philadelphia campus, the Career Success Coordinator role sits at the center of student outcomes—bridging education, employment readiness, and job placement. You'd manage a caseload of students, tracking their progress from enrollment through certification and into their first aviation maintenance roles. The work blends advocacy with accountability: building relationships with students while meeting defined metrics around retention, certification completion, and successful placement.
Your day-to-day involves early engagement with students to establish trust, identifying obstacles to their success, and coordinating with both the education team and employer partners. You'll facilitate resume workshops, prepare students for interviews, support job applications, and document all interactions in a data-driven system. The role also includes participation in career fairs, certification readiness events, and occasional Saturday or evening coverage as business needs require.
This position suits someone with one to two years in student services, career advising, or workforce development—ideally in a for-profit educational setting. You'll need strong communication and problem-solving skills, comfort with metrics and accountability, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The schedule is Monday–Friday, typically 9 a.m.–6 p.m. with one late evening shift weekly, at $22–28 per hour depending on experience. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k) match, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement.
