Wasabi Technologies Inc. is seeking for an enthusiastic candidate who has a software
engineering background and interest to join our exciting team for a period of 6 - 8 months co-
op term from January – August 2027.
with our Support Team, the Product Team, Development & QA Teams, and other Co-ops.
• Help our enterprise customers integrate their applications with Wasabi.
• Assist our partners in successfully deploying Wasabi into their customer
environments.
• Explore the inner workings of the S3 protocol and how it communicates with
Wasabi’s services.
• Engage with Wasabi sales and development engineers worldwide to enhance our
service.
• Computer Science/Telecommunication Networks or Software Engineering
background (this work will involve utilizing existing in-built tools and creating new
tools/utilities that can talk to Wasabi Cloud).
• Desire to diagnose, research, reproduce, and report defects, working closely with
R&D (this work will involve testing our storage service with third-party storage
applications and working with our customers on their storage-related use cases).
• Support our partner engineering team by validation interop between Wasabi and
hundreds of third-party software applications using APIs & SDKs.
• Familiarity with AWS S3/Cloud storage.
• Understanding of Linux and networking protocols such as HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS, TLS.
• Currently residing in Massachusetts, Boston Metro preferred.
• Ability to work 40hrs per week in a hybrid structured model.
• Master's degree preferred.
Base Pay Range – $25/hr - $32/hr
The base pay range reflects the full range for this position at Wasabi Technologies. About this role
Wasabi Technologies is looking for a Cloud Tech Support Engineer to join their Boston-area team for a 6-to-8-month co-op starting January 2027. You'd work hybrid and report to the Director of Technical Support Engineering, spending your time helping enterprise customers integrate with Wasabi's cloud storage platform, supporting partner deployments, and collaborating with product, development, and QA teams to validate how Wasabi works with third-party applications and SDKs.
The role suits someone with a Computer Science, Telecommunications Networks, or Software Engineering background who's comfortable working with Linux, networking protocols (HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS, TLS), and AWS S3. You'll need hands-on experience diagnosing and reproducing issues, testing storage services against hundreds of third-party applications, and exploring how the S3 protocol communicates with Wasabi's infrastructure. Familiarity with cloud storage and the ability to create tools and utilities that interact with Wasabi's services are important.
You should be based in or near Boston and able to commit to 40 hours per week in a hybrid structure. A master's degree is preferred. The position pays $25–$32 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
