About this role
At UMI Stone, the Logistics Coordinator manages the operational backbone of warehouse and shipping activities, working under the Warehouse Operations Manager to keep orders moving accurately and on time. You'll handle order preparation and shipment documentation, organize truck loading while ensuring DOT compliance, resolve shipping discrepancies with the sales team, and use Stone Profits software to plan delivery routes. The role spans both warehouse floor work—including forklift operation and material handling up to 100 pounds—and office-based coordination, with regular interaction across internal teams, customers, and vendors.
This position suits someone with three to five years of shipping or logistics experience, ideally in the tile or stone industry. You'll need bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, proficiency in MS Office and logistics software, and a forklift certification or the ability to obtain one. Strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to multitask across warehouse operations, inventory management, and documentation are essential. The role also requires flexibility: it's full-time with Saturday hours and potential overtime to meet operational demands.
The position is based in Miami but remote-eligible, though warehouse duties will require on-site presence. UMI Stone offers medical, dental, and vision coverage, employer-paid life and disability insurance, and flexible spending accounts.
