About this role
Supporting SpaceX's mission-critical operations requires IT professionals who can handle both the technical depth and the high-stakes environment of aerospace engineering. This VIP Support role covers the full spectrum of end-user IT delivery—from hardware procurement and deployment to troubleshooting, network configuration, and audiovisual support for launch and manufacturing operations. You'll work across multiple platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux) and handle everything from desktop computers and mobile devices to production equipment and conference room technology, often interfacing directly with the engineers and teams driving the company's work.
The position demands strong technical fundamentals in enterprise IT infrastructure, printers, and networking, paired with genuine customer service skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff. You'll be expected to work independently, develop new solutions in collaboration with IT engineering groups, and remain flexible across all shifts and weekends as operational needs dictate. This is a hands-on role that includes physical work—regularly lifting and installing equipment—and requires the self-motivation to thrive in a fast-paced, interrupt-driven environment where your support directly enables critical operations.
Candidates should have at least one year of professional experience building and troubleshooting computer systems in an enterprise setting, plus AV event support experience. Microsoft technology support is required; Mac, Linux, and certifications like A+ or Network+ are valued. You must be a U.S. citizen or eligible permanent resident due to ITAR requirements. The role is based in Washington, D.C., in-office full-time, with a starting salary range of $29–$35 per hour, plus stock options, comprehensive benefits, and paid time off.
