Geotab is looking for a bright graduate to support our UK Marketing team, who will thrive in our dynamic and challenging environment. The successful candidate will spend four months with the team that is responsible for developing Geotab’s online presence, and managing events, communications and PR, and product launches. This role will include working with social media, event planning, and continuously improving SEO.
What you'll do:
As a Marketing Support Intern, UK & Ireland your key area of responsibility will be supporting the UK Marketing team in developing online presence, event planning, social media creation, and campaign performance analysis. You will need to work closely with internal departments, external support agencies, the Sales team, and reseller/channel partners. To be successful in this role you will be a highly organised, task-oriented team player with strong written and verbal communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, digital marketing knowledge, and a keen interest in learning about Geotab technology.
The opportunity:
A 12 Month, Full-time, Monday - Friday, Paid Internship.
Your first week at Geotab begins with 'GEO Launch' - a one-week Employee Orientation.
How you'll make an impact:
Content review and brief development
Support the website and blog development and management
Help develop effective strategies and tactics to promote Geotab and it’s products and services
Create, manage and analyse B2B social media channels
Maintain all internal and external documents and marketing materials
Encourage internal blog and social media engagement
Analyse campaign performance
Support the Marketing activities for the Sales team to ensure Partners improve their social/digital presence (co-marketing programme)
Collaborate with internal departments and external support agencies to develop and successfully execute segment activity including global advertising planning (media, creative and content), PR, product launches, events, and reseller/channel campaigns and programs
Develop value-based messaging, assets and campaigns that will assist internal teams in securing marketing effort by resellers/channel partners
Utilise business planning tools (e.g. Salesforce) to forecast
What you'll bring to the role:
Marketing, Journalism, Media, Communications, Business or other relevant degree (2:1 or above)
Digital skills with previous experience using a CMS (e.g. WordPress)
Technical competence using software programs, including Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
Strong business writing, oral communication, and interpersonal skills in English (additional languages considered a plus)
Understanding of or willingness to learn SEO and web performance indicators like Google Analytics
Highly organised, task-oriented, self-managed team player who demonstrates proactivity in taking initiative
Good analytical skills and knowledge of digital marketing with a desire to learn about Geotab technology
