About this role

GRVTY is looking for a Network Engineer to support high-performance computing infrastructure and national security operations from their Salt Lake City office. You'll own the full lifecycle of datacenter network equipment—Cisco routers and switches, firewalls, load balancers, and specialized systems like Infiniband and fiber channel SANs. This means hands-on installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of complex multi-vendor environments, plus on-call support and work within live operational settings using ticketing systems to track tasks.

The role demands serious technical depth: you need at least three years of demonstrable network engineering experience (or five years without a degree), a DoD 8570 IAT II certification, and an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. You should be fluent in TCP/IP, L2/L3 protocols, stateful firewalls, and routing and switching fundamentals, with specific hands-on experience in datacenter design and IPSEC VPN configuration. Familiarity with VMware, Solaris containers, and Atlassian tools rounds out the skill set.

This is a cleared defense contractor role supporting mission-critical infrastructure. GRVTY offers standard benefits including health coverage, 401k matching, paid leave, and professional development opportunities, but the position itself is defined by its technical demands and security requirements rather than flexibility—you'll be in the office in Salt Lake City and available for on-call work.
