About this role
Maven is a proprietary trading firm seeking an experienced European single stock options market maker to join its equity options desk in Amsterdam. You'd manage your own portion of the options book day-to-day, owning both the trading decisions and the risk management that comes with them. The role sits at the intersection of execution and strategy—you'll work with stock analysts to refine pricing models, collaborate with developers on systematic improvements, and use data analysis to drive better trading approaches. This is a hands-on position where your P&L track record and market knowledge directly shape how the desk operates.
The ideal candidate brings at least three years of market-making experience on European options exchanges, with a demonstrated ability to generate consistent profit and capture market share. You'll need strong quantitative skills, a rigorous approach to risk, and genuine interest in how automated trading strategies work and evolve. Programming experience is valued but not required; comfort with AI tools to streamline workflows is a plus. Maven explicitly seeks someone ready to take on significant responsibility as the desk expands, combining disciplined execution with the creativity to improve how the firm prices and trades options across European markets.
